RWA members are generally located within the South Central Texas Regional Water Planning Area (Region L) for the state’s water planning process. Every 5 years, the South Central Texas Regional Water Planning Group (SCTRWPG), under the guidance of the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), identifies future water needs for the region, and develop a list of projects that can meet the identified needs over 50 year planning horizon.
